struggle: The Psychological Effects on Soldiers
A 2010 statistic showed that approximately 300,000 veterans bewilder from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)- that is 1 in every 5 force personnel returning from Iraq and Afghanistan (United States Department of Veterans Affairs, 2011). While the be ar staggering, as this summate reflects the confirmed cases, there are many more soldiers and veterans that have not been diagnosed for reasons, such as delay in reuniting with family to having mental health issues that will reckon their career. The U.S.s history of state of war is as unornamented as the land itself. With the discovery of America, Americans claimed independence from Great Britain in the subverter War of 1782 and was ensured independence in 1812. America has claimed victory in multiple wars, such as the Mexican-American War and World War II, but the U.S. has also seen defeat from the Vietnam War. While the cause of war may be for land conquest or rampart of the human race, the results are almost always catastrophic for civilians and military persons.

As innocent civilians are caught between the warfare, it is the soldiers that suffer from the impacts of war and struggle with a mental disease that has no attainable cure. The psychological effects of war on soldiers are apparent through the indication of clinical psychological symptoms, unconformity of civilian lifestyles, and number of soldier deaths.
The clinical psychological symptoms assessments are formed from a soldiers demographics to evaluate for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The devil factors that contribute to the analysis within the demographics are characteristics and number of deployments.
