Javier Garcia estimable motive in Construction Purpose: In an effort to cause a new policy as well as procedures focused on establishing standards of conduct and improving the ethical practices of employees. I will be focusing on certain elements regarding morals, pitiful on acceptable and unacceptable ethical practices regarding those elements. Ethics in general society: In general society ethics varies from person to person. What one person deems ethical may seem unethical to another person. In the construction industry, hoi polloi are often placed in situations where their moral ethics are questioned. An example of this could be when a avower accepts a cutter from a subcontractor, but after the acceptance of the bid the general contractor calls the subcontractor insisting that the subcontractor reduce the bid in order to receive the work. Honoring the bid that was first concur upon is the ethical behavior that should have been observed.

Another example of an ethical behavior would be if the general contractor accepted a bid from a subcontractor (A) then a couple of old age later another subcontractor (B) contacts the general contractor informing him that he would like to bid on that same project and that their be are lower possibly saving the general contractor $20,000. Again the ethical behavior that should be taken is to esteem subcontractor (A)s bid, because thats who you accepted the bid from first. The companys ethical policy should serve as a manoeuvre as to what should be done, but often the ethical policy focuses too much on what is good for business and not what is morally ethical.
