The Fairtrade Foundation is a charity and development organisation that is against loss in customary trade, especially in developing countries and committed to tackling poverty and injustice through fare trade rules. The Fairtrade Foundation was set up in 1992 by CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development), Christian Aid, Oxfam, sensitive Consumer, Traidcraft Exchange and the World Development Movement (WDM), with the NFWI (National Federation of Womens Institutes) Britains largest womens organisation, with a membership of around 250 000 connexion shortly thereafter.
